Dave Goldingay, brewer at Ironbridge, passed Freewheel the recipe for this cracking brew, a permanent fixture at his pub, the “Fighting Cocks” in Shropshire. Starts with an inviting creamy head lacing down behind a light and golden nectar, with Centennial hops giving thirst cutting bitterness and aroma. Just a great beer and a keeper.
Special Note: This is a cask style ale which is different than your typical beer – it has less carbonation and if you want a good head in your mug, give it a long pour like a fancy bartender.
Food Pairing: Kung Pao Chicken
A world-wide style now, balanced between malt and hops. Aromas range from fruity and light to floral and pungent and they have a wide range of bitterness.
